Gay bar san antonio ibiza

In the s, Amnesia was the birthplace of what was eventually dubbed the Balearic Beat. Despite some lean years during the s, Amnesia was the most consistently successful of all the clubs in Ibiza, and was also home to the island's best gay party 'La Troya Asiesian', which in , moved to SPACE with the call HOME OF LA TROYA. But since , they're back in Amnesia and what most would consider their spiritual home.

Midway between Ibiza Town and San Antonio and across the road from Privilege, Amnesia looks verb a former garden centre (it does look like a B&Q from the outside) turned super club The club has, however, progressed a long way from it's domestic roots, the most recent changes being to the Terrace, including the spectacular extension of the gallery.

There are two dance areas in Amnesia: the Main Room, which plays host to the biggest draw DJs, usually at the headlining club (when two are sharing the venue), and always the foam party; and the smaller back room, or "Terrace", home to some very large trees Even though it is bigger than Brighton Pavilion (to which it bears mor

As we've said previously, Ibiza generally is very gay and LGBTQIA friendly, so you will sense welcome in each bar or restaurant, wherever you are on the island.

But there are also many LGBTQIA bars, mostly concentrated in and around Ibiza Town.

Calle de la Virgen is a small pedestrianised street in the old port area and the main meeting point of the LGBTQIA scene on the island. Countless small bars, restaurants, boutiques and fetish shops line the cobbled lane lit by fairy lights, while drag queens attempt to lure you into their establishments and the sound of excited voices fills the atmosphere. It's so narrow that you can't help but make contact with others. The Catalan mention of Calle de la Virgen is Carrer de la Mare de Déu, find it here in Google maps.

Another LGBTQIA hub is the nearby Calle Alfonso XIII, a side street of Calle de la Virgen(Google maps). In the shadow of the city wall you will discover one LGBTQIA bar next to the other. On the huge terraces and roof terraces a colourful crowd shows off in their most extravagant finery.

Some may be shocked that I have mentioned those two words in the same sentence let alone debated the concept that those two could co-exist together.

Before I maintain there is one question that we have to answer before we move on What is ‘Gay’, it’s a common theme in all my writings, but I am trying my finest not to generalise or lump ‘us’ all into one category.  As in any community - the gay one is no exception - there is a vast array of tastes, each one bringing their own flavour to the table. We all have different wants, beliefs, likes, dis-likes etc and that should be remembered. We wouldn’t assume all straight people want the same holidays so why should us folk eh?

Soback to the original point in question Is San Antonio’s notable West End a viable option for a night out? Adequately, this is going to sound like a cop-out but Yes and No.  Personally I cherish the West End as I appreciate it for what it is. Would it win awards for class and style? Maybe not! Though to be unbiased, hats off to all the Stag/Hen/Groups who go the entire hog and get properly dressed up for it. I contain se
