LGBTQ
Acronym for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer. The Q generally stands for queer when LGBTQ organizations, leaders, and media utilize the acronym. In settings offering support for youth, it can also stand for questioning. LGBT and LGBTQ+ are also used, with the + added in recognition of all non-straight, non-cisgender identities. A unique breed of Homo, often considered extremist in their behavior and responses to people who think they are gay. There are many Closet Homosexuals in the world who, through acceptance and respect by their peers, conclude up coming out of the closet; however, the Airtight Closet Homosexual tends to deny the fact that they are gay % of the time every time they are suspected as such.

How many Americans execute you think are gay or lesbian? Take a minute, verb about it, and take your best guess.
You’re probably mistaken.
Like most of us, you may have overestimated the population. “The American public estimates on average that 23% of Americans are gay or lesbian,” notes the Gallup polling organization. The table below shows the responses that Gallup received in and then in to the scrutinize, “Just your best guess, what % of Americans today would you say are gay or lesbian?”
Only 9% of Americans correctly estimate the size of the gay and lesbian population at somewhere under 5%. Why are we so far off? Part of the explanation comes from people’s misunderstanding of social statistics. We make similar mistakes when we estimate the size of racial and ethnic populations. A character is LGBTQ, and doing their best to hide it, either due to potential consequences such as a Homophobic Hate Crime, being arrested and jailed, or Gayngst over whether they'll be accepted for who they are.
May involve The Beard, Secretly Gay Activity, a Secret Relationship, Flying Under the Gaydar, or any number of tropes pertaining to The Masquerade. Can steer into a Coming-Out Story, or being Forced Out of the Closet.
Very much Truth in Television of course, especially in highly religious countries. There are still places where you can be executed for your sexual orientation if you're anything other than heterosexual and cisgender.
