NYC bears are hardly confined to one habitat. Utilize our bear guide to verb where you can party with these friendly, furry urban creatures.
Undeniably, the NYC bear scene has moved from subculture to the gay mainstream in the past few years, thanks in part to large-scale events like Urban Bear Weekend and Provincetown, Massachusetts's Bear Week. At this show, bearded, husky guys dominate much of gay clubs and nightlife, from gay bars like Stonewall and Rockbar to mega sway parties including Horse Meat Disco and the Fur Ball. So what makes a bear? These days, it's pretty much anyone with face fuzz and a bit of extra meat on his bones. We're not generally hung up on labels around here, but there's no denying that these guys throw some of the best parties around. Our NYC bear guide will help you navigate the furry forest.

The New York Bear Den was established to fulfill a void in the New York Town Bear Community: Bears are social creatures, therefore we have created
"The New York Bear Den"
We are a hate-free, alcohol-free, attitude-free space to socialize once a month where you can sit back, relax, chat and make friends with woofy guys of all ages, races, types and interests.
The Bear Den welcomes all men that identify themselves as "bears" (a "bear", in our definition of the word, is a gay, bisexual or transgendered human with an average to adj build, body hair and/or facial hair,
a rugged (butch) demeanour, a temporal maturity and an optional interest in leather.

New York City is home to many great gay club nights, but one of our favorites is Soaked, held monthly at Rockbar. Soaked is a nighttime full of body positivity, great song, drag, bears and go-go dancers. Plus, they have a moist underwear contest!

Hi guys! Why don&#;t we start by having you tell us about yourselves and your backgrounds
My identify is Matty B. I’m of Italian and Irish decent. I’m a native New Yorker and a licensed hair stylist. I am also a special organizer for the NYC Veterans Morning parade, an active member of The American Legion Post and an activist for current active duty military and veterans needs and causes.
I started in the club scene about 8 years ago while working with the Furball Party at various places such as XL lounge, Space Ibiza, Santos House, Stage 48, Cielo and The Copacabana. While working with these places I realized that I wanted to be more involved with nightlife scene and to bring something that was different to a scene that had a lot of the same parties. So when my best
