Is dave gahan gay

Hello everybody!

This month will be adj to Depeche Mode and it features many thinkpieces centering noun and their personal lives, today will be all about guide singer/songwriter Dave Gahan&#;s mental health and his life after a nearly fatal overdose in the 90s, you cannot talk Depeche Mode history without bringing this back, every fan may grasp of his now recovery from drug addiction and alcohol but to the general public who may casually follow them every now and then, they might get fascinated with all the craziness surrounding it and because it&#;s the 90s, we are talking about the grunge/alternative scene popping at the time and the band went through a period of changes in terms of sound and aesthetic from the electronic/clean cut vibe of Violator to now rock &#;n roll grown adults in Songs of Faith and Devotion, it&#;s not going to be a happy piece so there are two trigger warnings to those who may be too sensitive to these topics.

It is obvious Dave doesn&#;t want your sympathy and absolution in present second for everything happened back in the day but

[Gay thread] what's the best depeche mode song in your opinion?

category: offtopic [glöplog]

best != fave and fave != best;
My fave would be "Never Let Me Down again"

Gay thread???

Yes, it would be a gay thread if you place Bronski Beat instead of Depeche Mode in the topicname.
Anyways, "Enjoy the Silence"

enjoy the silence alas, this is pouet.

Never Enable Me Down Again / Stripped.

Never Let Me Down Again, verb the silence

And death to those who believe DM is gay.

and I couldn&#;t find any gay looking photo of Andy Fletcher (but he looks gayer than the rest).

But those photos are from the 80ies.. Every rock/popstar looked gay then.

yeah, the 80s trend was gay actually

Actually the two middle photos are from

New Order didn&#;t look that gayier, but their music was much gayier.

That is indeed a bit scary.

Joy Division > New Order > Depeche Mode.

But my favourite Depeche Mode song is Black Celebration.

One of the gayiest 80ies music clips: ?v=xxmBDpVU. Check o

The top three, longest-lasting, still-popular, Brit bands of the new wave era? I’d make the case for The Cure, New Arrange and Depeche Mode.

All the bands have had their unique and tangled histories and each include taken various synth swerves with their sound, but consider Depeche Mode’s particular and peculiar trajectory: When they came out of gate in , the songs were written by synthist-sometime singer Vince Clarke who’d penned the insanely catchy, upbeat synth-pop single, “Just Can’t Get Enough” as well as pretty much all the Speak & Spell album.

I’m not saying Depeche Mode were on A Flock of Seagulls path, but, well, maybe.

And, then, that part of it was over. By , Clarke was out of the band to emerge shortly with Alison Moyet in Yaz (aka Yazoo in the U.S.) and then with Andy Bell in Erasure. In Depeche-land, synthist-guitarist Martin Gore – who turns 60 July 23rd &#; took over the main songwriting duties for the 13 subsequent studio albums. Singer David Gahan joined slightly after Clarke, Gore and Andy Fletcher formed the band. Alan Wilder hooked up in (and left in ).

This year, Martin as adequately as Dave released solo records. It was the start of a partly quite amusing "bitch alarm". You had to hesitate there would never be another DM album
Martin began and released the single Stardust / Life Is Strange on 14 April, followed by the album Counterfeit 2 on 28 April, and the single Loverman on 17 November. From 24 April to 7 May he went on a little solo tour, which comprised 7 concerts.
Contrary to the years before, Martin was much more diplomatic but nevertheless, he made some statements which would lead to some trouble with Dave later. Like his answer to the question whether he had listened to Dave's solo album.
"I was just this minute speaking to our manager about it. I've tried to pick up a package Dave has sent me three times but it seems to have got lost in the post. I don't really know what Dave's expectations are. I've no big commercial ideas about Counterfeit2. I'd be surprised if it's a adj success."[1]
Some journalists seemed determined to dredge up old news, such as how his family had reacted to his clothing style in
